Our beer

A beer for every liking

We brew beer for every liking. From the dark Stout to the light Harald and a variety of beers in between.

With our own equipment we have the flexibility to test and adjust our recipes. The share holders are invited to taste the beer to test the result of the final product and to decide if the beer is to be set into production.

We are inspired and excided by the ancient beer cultures and we try to walk in the footsteps of our ancestors and brew good beer for every liking.

Our own abbey ale

An 'abbey' ale (5,5%, 22 IBU, 49 EBC)

A two-egged stout

A potent stout (6,8%, 62 IBU, 85 EBC)

Svend Tveskæg (two-egged beard), was a powerful person who names this beer, which is a dry and potent stout. It is a two-egged beer that plays on two distinct strings:
The first is the use of very dark and roasted malt, which gives the beer a charcoal colour and a strong, full-bodied taste of, among other things. liquorice and coffee with roasted notes.
The second is the round-handed use of two American hop varieties, cascade and centennial. This results in a distinct sense of hops as well as a marked bitterness in the end.

Barley malt, rye malt, hops, yeast and water

A refreshing dark beer

A 'schwarzbier' (5,0%, 27 IBU, 60 EBC)

This dark beer is inspired by the German ”schwarzbier”. To commemorate Sote and his exploits as a rune maker, the brewery has named this beer after the chieftain's son from Iceland.
'Sote' is a dark and mouth-watering beer with a bit of malt flavour, without much sweetness and only with a slight bitterness from the hops. It is, despite the dark colour, a light beer.
Enjoy it with a good lunch or with roasts.

Barley malt, hops, yeast and water

King Harald's Lager

A true lager (4,6%, 23 IBU, 7 EBC)

The big rune-stone tells that King Harald united Denmark and Norway and made the Danes Christians. The Jelling dynasty, under the leadership of Harald Bluetooth, had great power and influence.

Harald's lager is brewed following the best German traditions for beer making with a nice taste of malt from good Pilsner and Munich malts. On top of that it is made from the best hops from the Hallertauer regions.

The beer for the 'Octoberfest'

A märzen beer (5,1%, 22 IBU, 19 EBC)

Barley malt, hops, yeast and water

A powerful and straight stout

A true stout (5,0%, 39 IBU, 75 EBC)

A stout Viking from Jelling is not just a term used to describe a warrior from Jelling from
the era of Harald Bluetooth, but also a description of a beer with character.

This top fermented stout is powerful and has the nice bitterness a stout is supposed to have. It has a slightly burned and toasted aroma with the scent of hops. On top of that comes a taste of caramel and chocolate with a distinguishing bitterness at the end.

A great companion for lunch

A red ale (5,5%, 25 IBU, 34 EBC)

The beer is a tribute to Svend Tveskæg's daughter, Estrid, who could be a good example of a Viking Age woman, who both organized everyday practical challenges and with her authority was the respected head - even when the husband came home from a long journey.
’Estrid’ is a red ale, with a fine and full malty taste, that goes very well with the Danish lunch.

Barley malt, hops, yeast and water

Jelling Orm is an amber beer with a lovely rich aroma from the Munich malt and a pleasant sweetness from both the Belgian yeast and the dark candy sugar.
