Our beer

A beer for every liking

We brew beer for every liking. From the dark Stout to the light Harald and a variety of beers in between.

With our own equipment we have the flexibility to test and adjust our recipes. The share holders are invited to taste the beer to test the result of the final product and to decide if the beer is to be set into production.

We are inspired and excided by the ancient beer cultures and we try to walk in the footsteps of our ancestors and brew good beer for every liking.

Our beer

The beer is inspired by the German Maibock, and has a characteristic rich taste from the pale malts, very moderate bitterness and a finishing sweetness.

Ingredients:

Barley malt, wheat malt, hops, yeast and water

A refreshing wheat beer

A fruity wheat beer (4,8%, 15 IBU, 5 EBC)

The queens wheat beer is inspired by the Belgian Wit and is a lovely fruity wheat beer with a faint bread like aroma from the wheat malt and with a hint of orange peel and coriander.

The beer has a light yellow straw colour and is slightly cloudy.

Barley malt, wheat malt, spices, hops, yeast and water

Our own abbey ale

An 'abbey' ale (5,5%, 22 IBU, 49 EBC)

Gorm Dark is inspired by the Belgian monastery beer.

With the dark glow and intense and powerful taste with burned notes of caramel combined with a subtle scent of black currant, it is a beer for the vikings of today.

Ingredients:

Barley malt, hops, spices, candy sugar, yeast and water

A two-egged stout

A potent stout (6,8%, 62 IBU, 85 EBC)

Svend Tveskæg (two-egged beard), was a powerful person who names this beer, which is a dry and potent stout. It is a two-egged beer that plays on two distinct strings:
The first is the use of very dark and roasted malt, which gives the beer a charcoal colour and a strong, full-bodied taste of, among other things. liquorice and coffee with roasted notes.
The second is the round-handed use of two American hop varieties, cascade and centennial. This results in a distinct sense of hops as well as a marked bitterness in the end.

Ingredients:

Barley malt, rye malt, hops, yeast and water

A refreshing dark beer

A 'schwarzbier' (5,0%, 27 IBU, 60 EBC)

This dark beer is inspired by the German ”schwarzbier”. To commemorate Sote and his exploits as a rune maker, the brewery has named this beer after the chieftain's son from Iceland.
'Sote' is a dark and mouth-watering beer with a bit of malt flavour, without much sweetness and only with a slight bitterness from the hops. It is, despite the dark colour, a light beer.
Enjoy it with a good lunch or with roasts.

Ingredients:

Barley malt, hops, yeast and water

King Harald's Lager

A true lager (4,6%, 23 IBU, 7 EBC)

’Estrid’ is a red ale, with a fine and full malty taste, that goes very well with the Danish lunch.
